What a sadness we feel at the loss of our dear friend Derek. Through Derek and Doreen we have shared many happy hours playing bridge as well as bridge holidays.Their kindness and caring will never be forgotten.

Derek was a gentleman, he never swore, he was the best bridge player I've known by far and I miss his banter.

Derek and Doreen made us very welcome when we joined Brighouse Bridge Club. Derek was always so pleased when we, or any of the other beginners played well.
Derek has left a lasting legacy and will be missed by the many people who have have had the pleasure of learning and playing at the club.
